In addition to MROCC's monographs (up to 4 CME credit hours per monograph),The American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine (ACOEM) offers an innovative, challenging, and practical way for medical review officers (MROs) to exercise and maintain their knowledge base, comply with the Department of Transportation's recent requirement of 12 hours of MRO-related continuing medical education (CME) every three years, and meet the recertification CME requirements of the Medical Review Officer Certification Council. The program consists of reading MROCC's MRO manual and completing a self-assessment tool. Two Examination Options: Online Exam - The online at-home or office examination is not timed - examinees have up to 30 days to complete and submit it. This is an open-book examination, and study materials may be used. Upon submission, an immediate Pass or Fail determination is given, along with details indicating MRO Competency weaknesses and strengths. Onsite Exam - Of course, physicians may also
