Contact: MROCC 847-303-7210 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE MROCC ANNOUNCES A NEW RECERTIFICATION PROGRAM BEGINNING IN 2008: Starting in 2008, the Medical Review Officer Certification Council (MROCC) will offer a new recertification program for physicians holding current or previous MRO certification from MROCC or AAMRO. Like its current online examination, the new MROCC program permits physicians to easily and economically take the MRO recertification examination online from any computer with a high-speed Internet connection. Based on feedback from Certified MROs, MROCC’s new recertification utilizes the latest technologies and cutting-edge practices to create the most dynamic, physician-friendly online credentialing program available.
Partnering with QuestionMark™ Perception ™ - the leader in e-learning programming and online testing and assessment platforms – the new MROCC RECERTIFICATION EXAMINATION has been redesigned to be the most efficient and economic method for recertifying MRO Credentials while maintaining the highest levels of integrity and quality of standards. Some of the new features include:
MRO ASSISTANT CERTIFICATION:
The Medical Review Officer Certification Council (MROCC) continues its highly-successful credentialing program for Medical Review Officer Assistants (MRO-A). This three-year certification – awarded upon successful completion and passing of the MROCC MRO-A online examination -- is designed to measure that scope of knowledge and those practical skills that the MRO Assistant applies in fulfilling his or her professional responsibilities within the workplace drug testing arena. The 40-question online examination consists of multiple choice items, distributed by content area according to the examination blueprint, and intermingles recall (recognition), simple interpretation (analysis), and problem solving (evaluation) type questions.
And, like the MRO Recertification examination, the NEW MRO ASSISTANT EXAMINATION has been redesigned to include much of the same functionality:
Within both Regulated and Non-Regulated testing programs, the MRO Assistant must understand and be confident in his or her role and that of the physician MRO – maintaining a clear and thorough comprehension of what the assistant can and cannot do; defining the issues that arise during the medical review process and the best courses of action to tackle these issues; providing services to the physician MRO that meets standards of professionalism, accountability, and ethical behavior; and implementing practical application of industry standards and procedures.
